In re Crude Oil Commodity Futures Litig., 11-cv-03600 (S.D.N.Y.)
On January 21, 2016, the Honorable Katherine B. Forrest of the United States District for the Southern District of New York, granted final approval of this class action alleging manipulation of the prices of New York Mercantile Exchange (“NYMEX”) and Intercontinental Exchange (“ICE”) WTI crude oil futures and option contracts between January 1 and May 15, 2008 inclusive (“Class Period”).
This Firm was one of two Co-Lead Counsel for the Class. The Firm’s performance was complimented by the Court, which found that it resulted in “the best possible presentation of a case on behalf of the plaintiff and the class”.
Persons who transacted in WTI and/or ICE futures or option contracts during the Class Period may be eligible to submit proofs of claim seeking to qualify for a payout from the Settlement.
